All individuals holding Iran travel visas for Iran are required to have travel insurance that adequately covers emergencies or accidents throughout their entire stay in the country.  Therefore, the electronic visa system facilitates the purchase of travel insurance.

Under the same framework, the visa amount includes an additional 17 dollars for travel insurance. The visa applicant will receive an e-mail notification upon the fully electronic issuance of the insurance.
